Newcastle are planning an early move for star striker Alexander Isak if Arsenal splash out on the Swedish international.
TeamTalk reports that Newcastle United have no plans to sell Isak in the near future. But they would be unable to rule out Arsenal being willing to pay the £100m that The Magpies are valuing.UFABET
Isak has emerged as Arsenal’s top target and the Sweden international is keen to push himself into the Premier League title race. And feature regularly in the Champions League. However, Newcastle will take comfort in the fact that he has a long-term contract that runs until 2028.
Newcastle will not negotiate with offers below £100m. And if Arsenal were to receive an offer of that size. It would be a situation where the Magpies would not be able to turn down a sale.
As a result, Eddie Howe’s side are looking to replace Isak early on. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jonathan David both out of contract at Everton and Lille (respectively) at the end of the season.
The Swedish international has scored 21 goals in 30 Premier League appearances in the just-finished season. In the campaign prior, he scored ten goals in 22 Premier League appearances.
As a result of his excellent form in England, Isak has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur over the past few months.
